NTEA – The Association for the Work Truck Industry (NTEA)
NTEA engaged Dawson Strategic to establish a frontline presence in Ottawa to strengthen relationships with key government agencies, monitor and analyze policy, legislative, and regulatory developments, and help respond to key issues for Canadian member companies across the country.
For over four years, Dawson Strategic and NTEA have worked in close partnership to help solidify NTEA as the North American voice for the work truck industry. The result: NTEA membership in Canada is up, member companies are kept up-to-date on key developments that matter for the industry, NTEA regularly contributes to the policymaking process, and the Association is better positioned to respond to North American economic developments.
SandBay Entertainment is a creative and business studio dedicated to moving picture storytelling. Dawson Strategic worked closely with SandBay Entertainment staff to create an environmental mission statement for the company from the bottom-up.
This statement, combined with an internal sustainability strategy and actions, helped SandBay successfully secure a Supply Arrangement with the Government of Canada.
Entertainment Software Association of Canada (ESAC)
Canada has a booming video game industry and one of the key challenges for Canadian video game companies is attracting and retaining workers with the right mix of skills. This challenge needed to be communicated to decision makers. Working with the ESAC team, Dawson Strategic met with over a dozen industry experts to understand the issue and authored an in-depth report that summarized the problem and presented a path forward with recommendations aimed at federal and provincial levels of government. In the end, ESAC was able to widely distribute the report and the findings helped support budget asks for the industry.

Natural Resources Canada (NRCan)
Natural Resources Canada supports the Government of Canada’s broader trade policy agenda and as part of this effort, NRCan engaged Dawson Strategic to develop several in-depth research reports focused on Canada’s energy sector, including a report on the implications of the NAFTA renegotiation and an analysis of market opportunities and challenges in China.
Dawson Strategic drew upon internal trade expertise, and interviewed leading experts across the country to provide NRCan with relevant and accurate policy research to help inform the Government’s trade policy agenda.
