Dr. Laura Dawson has more than twenty five years’ experience providing advice to businesses and government around the world on trade, regulatory, and border issues. The Hill Times named her one of the Top 100 Canadian foreign policy influencers of 2014. Dr. Dawson is Principal Program Manager (Americas) at Amazon Web Services Institute at Amazon Web Services (AWS) and is the former Director of the Canada Institute at the Woodrow Wilson Center in Washington DC.
Jeffrey Phillips – Managing Director
Mr. Phillips oversees the development and delivery of major research projects for the company and manages client relations. Prior to joining Dawson Strategic, Jeff worked at Natural Resources Canada (NRCan), first as a Policy Analyst on energy issues and later as an Advisor in the Deputy Minister’s Office.
Rene Drolet – Associate
Mr. Drolet is an independent consultant who has been working in the field of environmental management and sustainable development for over 25 years. His main fields of expertise relate to public policy and regulatory analysis, in particular with respect to climate change (GHG emission reductions), air quality, water management, clean technology, and the transition to a low-carbon economy.
Kathy Fang – Research Associate
As a Research Associate for Dawson Strategic, Kathy contributes to writing and data analysis on reports. Kathy is experienced with econometric analysis, particularly with regards to GHG emissions reduction policy, and sustainable transportation. Prior to joining Dawson Strategic, Kathy studied Economics with a focus on Environment and Society at the University of British Columbia and Sciences Po Paris.
